All of a sudden the reel was singing and the pole was a bending...
As the rod continued to bend and the line kept stripping from the reel...

And after a 25 minute battle!!! .....
A huge native Bull Trout came to the surface, though we did not weigh him we guessed 15 - 17 pounds!

Now these fish are protected in almost all waters in Montana, so we released him without harm!
Later that afternoon, Steve, our good friend hauled in this ten pounder!!! (we weighed him)

And we released him.

Kimmie, my wife did catch a ten pounder herself.....
However, it was the week before and somehow I forgot to bring the camera, so we have no images of her beautiful smile...or fish....she says she caught a big one tooo!!! .....
Yet there is no proof and she is still sticking to her story!!!
However, she will tell you that she can certainly out fish her husband any day of the week!..

As this picture shows, she did it again, with this 5.5 pound rainbow!!!
